Device Driver Installation
Insert the software CD into the CD-ROM drive. You will see the following three folders.
Go to Windows>Driver>Setup and double click on “Setup” to start the installation, you will see
Click the “Next>” button to continue and you will see the following pop-up window
Click on “Change… ” to select the folder where you want to install the software, and then click the “Next>” button. Or, just click the “Next>” button and continue using the default path, then you will see
Click the “Install” button to start installing the driver, then you will see the following pop-up window.
Click the “Finish” button to complete the installation.
Using the demo software
Initial Screen
Run the “Demo” software and you will see the following on the initial screen
Attention.
Flat finger. Acquisition of a single plain fingerprint image
Curled Finger. Capture a single curled fingerprint image
Four-finger slap. Capture fingerprints from four fingers on the left and right side and two thumbs.
4-4-2, 10 planes. Collect 10 planes with four finger taps and two thumbs.
4-4-2, 10 rolls. Capture 10 rolls, 4 finger taps and two thumbs.
Splitting. Split 4 finger taps into discrete single-finger images
Open. Starts and activates a capture mode
Save. Saves the captured image to the local computer
Stop: Turns off the current scanning option
Exit. Closes the scanning demo software

IMPORTANT: If your finger is too wet, it is recommended that you place your finger on the platen to avoid blurring or smudging the image.

– Taking a single finger flat fingerprint
Step 1: Select “Flat Finger” and click “Open” to enter the idle screen
Step 2: Select “Flat Finger”, then click “Open” to enter the idle interface. Place one finger on the platen to start the acquisition.
Step 3. Click the “Save” button to save the captured image.
Step 4. Click the “Stop” button to terminate the current scanning option
Capturing Rolled Finger
Step 1: Select “Roll Finger” and click “Open” to enter the idle screen.
Step 2. Place one finger on the platen to roll
Step 3. Click the “Save” button to save the captured image.
Step 4. Click the “Stop” button to terminate the current scanning option
Caution.
There are two ways to roll your finger during the capture process.
1) Nail to Nail
2) Nail to Nail Rolling
When a rolling fingerprint image is captured using the Nail to Nail method, one side of the bulbous portion of the finger (fingertip to fingertip) appears on the screen.
When acquiring a rolling fingerprint image using the “nail-to-nail” method, place one side of the finger (fingertip to just below the first joint) on the platen and roll the finger with light, even pressure.
With even pressure, then roll the finger to the other side (nail to nail) until it is facing the opposite direction.
Capturing 4 Finger Slaps
Step 1: Select “4 Finger Slaps”, then click “Open” to get in idle screen
Step 2. Place left or right slap on the platen to start capturing
Step 3. Click “Save” button to save the captured image
Step 4. Click “Stop” button to terminate the current scan option
Note:
When Slap Option-Segmentation is chosen, the 4 finger slaps will be segmented into discrete single fingerprint image automatically. The single image will be stored under default installation director
Capturing 10 Finger Flats, 4 Finger Slaps and 2 Thumbs
Step 1: Select “4-4-2, 10 Flats”, then click “Open” to get in idle screen
Step 2. Place the right finger and slap on the platen to start capturing

HOW TO PLACE FINGER ON THE PLATEN PROPERLY
When capturing fingerprints (single flats, rolls, 4 finger slaps and 2 thumbs slap), make sure the fingers are placed slightly with proper pressure at the center of the platen from bottom part.
. Maintenance
It is recommended to clean the rollers before shooting to ensure high quality images are printed.
When cleaning the platen, please read the following.
-Use a cleaning cloth to wipe the platen. Make sure the cleaning cloth is clean, but not wet or dripping.

Then wipe the reader with a cloth. If you spray the cleaning solution directly onto the reader, the cleaning solution may drip onto the main board.
